How a long-term banking partnership evolved from providing testing capacity to owning outcomes, processes, and continuous improvement within a service model.
What happens when a long-term enterprise testing partnership needs to move beyond Time & Material?
In this session, we share the story of a two-year journey from staff augmentation toward a Testing-as-a-Service operating model, based on our experience with a large banking customer. We will look at why the traditional model was no longer enough, how we built the new setup, and which decisions shaped its success.
Rather than presenting TaaS as a ready-made recipe, we will discuss the practical realities: governance, ownership, roles, financial models, planning, reporting, expectations, and the compromises along the way. Most importantly, we will share what worked, what did not, and what we would do differently today. The customer perspective adds another layer to the story, showing how the change was experienced on the other side of the partnership.
The session closes with five practical lessons for organizations considering a service-based QA model.
