Co-creating a new future for testers

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself whether being a tester is part of what makes you, you? Or maybe you’ve compared the tester in your mind to the tester job title and description you see in job listings?

I’ve become fascinated with identity and the experience of being a tester in the workplace. This fascination has become the heart of my graduate thesis. Through a multiyear, multipart academic study of how identity and job title shape our experience as testers as well as our feelings of belonging, esteem, and satisfaction in our organizations. Join me to learn more about the psychology behind our professional identities and how we can use our shared identity to co-create a better future for testers.
