For way too long we have focused on leadership and being nice. It is about time we bring management back in the game and help them become kind instead.
The glocal workforce is suffering, and people are disengaged. Managers account for 70% of variance in employee engagement. We need good managers, so the teams to focus what they do best: produce awesome products.
We have talked about managers as overhead, and organisations have forgotten that management is a skill and that leadership is not enough. Without managers it is hard to have a successful organisation and some great teams.
