A Perspective on 20 Years of Software Testing

Twenty years is not a long enough time. It’s too short to talk about the kind of things I am going to say here. However, twenty years of working in the field of testing is long enough to understand and realise how little I know. It's a long enough time to do experiments which are only partially successful. It’s also a pretty long time to realize that there are people out there who have explored a dimension of it, which is completely alien to me.

This keynote is an honest, open talk about the way I see the testing world. Testing as a profession had certain promises which are still a fantasy to most. What went wrong?
