I started my adult life wanting to be a teacher, because I love to impart knowledge. To break things apart and talk about why they are the way they are, how they could be or should be and what impact that could have. But then, my other love was tech. I had never heard of software testing or quality advocacy as a career path, and fell into it quite by chance when trying to get a job after university - but I quickly realised that here was the career for me! I have worked as a Tester/QA for 10 years now on all sorts of software from Windows services, MSMQ large scale database systems, internal applications, websites, digital out of home advertising campaigns, childrens' browser games and now native mobile apps. Mobile is my favourite challenge, and I have had the privilege to work on large scale video streaming, instant messaging, news and finance. News has always been a passion for me, and I have worked on the mobile News offerings for both Bloomberg and the BBC.
