Senior tester @ Allan Gray
I grew up in South Africa, where I studied finance and economics. Since then, I have spent most of my career as a tester in financial services. Without any formal IT studies, everything I have learned is self-taught. I began my career in Scotland and have worked at some of the biggest banks in Europe, on a plethora of projects, using a wide variety of software delivery and testing methodologies. After a few years in Edinburgh, I moved back to Cape Town and am currently a senior tester at one of the country’s best asset management firms. Allan Gray has become an industry (and world) leader in software development. I have been involved in a number of core system changes and very high risk projects. My focus right now is on the extremely challenging but equally exciting space of automating the testing of our microservices, so that we can deploy freely and as often as we like.
