Test Engineer @ Sopra Steria
Ester (the Tester) is 32 years old and relatively new to the conference scene. As a researcher at heart, she takes deep dives into her interests, history and of course the software she needs to disect and test. Quality systems and automation are all around us, and occasionally a spark of interest links testing to one of her unusual hobbies. Unexpectedly, it seems other people are also interested in learning about 19th century inventions and what unit testing is like in the world of ballet. As a dancer herself, she is comfortable on stage, where she combines visuals and research with humour to keep the listener engaged. Though people won't leave with a new way to write an Enumeration or a API test, they will surely leave with some spark to feed one of the most important traits of a tester: their curiosity. Ester lives in the north of the Netherlands with her husband and two cats, and currently supports the Dutch National Police to implement risk-based development strategies.
