Explainable AI, and the New Reality for Exploratory Testers
There's probably never been a more fun time to be involved in technology. Or, depending on how you look at it, a more terrifying time. Unless you have been living in a cave, on a deserted island, protected by killer coconut crabs with lasers for the last couple of years, chances are you have not been able to go a single day without hearing the capital letters "A" and "I" used together by some CEO talking about how it's revolutionizing their company, and THE WORLD.
They're probably not wrong.
Ten minutes later, you are likely hearing somebody else talking about how the same two letters are going to contribute to the demise of humanity.
I'll be honest, if we are not careful, they're probably not wrong either.
So which is it? Can we be saved? Where is that cave you mentioned... is there room for me?
Maybe... but it is going to take work. And it is going to take a LOT of testing... it just is going to look different, happen at a different time, use different tools, and involve a different way of thinking about what testing means in terms of building software. In this talk, we will dive a bit deeper into the world of Explainable AI, and how it is quickly growing into one of the most essential lines of defense for corporate profitability, legal governance, distinctive competence and even time to market. And... for once, it actually all revolves around exploratory testing.
Just don't tell anyone that.
I'll share more when we meet... see you soon.
