I will share the learnings of my personal development from a Junior to Senior Quality Expert and how that development had a positive effect on my personal life as well.
Room F3 - Track 3: Talks
Tester, Product Owner, Manager, anyone who wants to develop themselves or likes to learn from others
In the fast-paced world of Quality Assurance, the pursuit of perfection can often lead to burnout and a sense of inadequacy. This talk explores a counterintuitive approach: "How not giving a F*#K” transformed my perspective on being a QA.
And enriched my personal life in the process.
I will walk you through different solutions I tried and used, some more successful, some less. Starting with implementing unique and unconventional testing methods which helped get the team more interested in quality and testing. Over playing the rubber duck during code reviews, which helped foster better bilateral understanding. All the way to introducing the shift left approach, and why I first needed to change my own mindset in order to get to that point.
Beyond the professional realm, the talk will touch on how this shift in mindset spilled over into my personal life, fostering resilience, self-compassion, and improved interpersonal relationships.
You can expect practical insights and actionable strategies for cultivating a healthy balance between caring deeply about one's work and maintaining a sense of personal well-being.
