Or how to have hard conversations that actually work

Hard conversations are inevitable in a workplace. Be it your boss, subordinate, peer or even client, you probably found yourself in a hard conversation. Maybe you try to avoid them. For sure we, Michal and Ilan, had our share.

In this workshop we will highlight why traditional performance reviews don’t work anymore (if they ever did). We’ll also compare some alternatives. We will address how to recognise a hard conversation and how to approach it differently, we will focus on performance reviews in particular, and mainly:

  • How to give and receive feedback

In this mini workshop we will deconstruct how to prepare for and conduct a hard conversation. You, participants will have the opportunity to try out a hard conversation in a safe lab and get feedback from a peer.
