Bart is a software tester from Belgium with over a decade of experience in testing and test automation. He started his career in software development before moving into testing, where his focus shifted from building features to understanding software behaviour, risk, and quality.
He has worked on large-scale media platforms for organisations such as VRT and DPG Media, and is currently Technical Lead for Software Testing at Axxes. In this role, he helps teams build sustainable test practices, make thoughtful decisions about automation and tooling, and find better ways to discuss and assess product quality.
Bart is particularly interested in how new tools influence testing craftsmanship, ownership, and confidence, and how testers can stay effective without losing sight of what testing is really about.
