How to use sketchnoting for problem-solving in your team.
Complex problems can be hard to discuss. Learn how to untangle a problem by sketching it together with your team.
Visual problem solving is a way to tackle problems in your team on whiteboards or paper using text and images. By sketchnoting a problem, you untangle it into visuals. This way your team gets a shared image of what the problem is about. Moreover, visuals help to see the problem in new ways which makes it possible to explore new solutions.
Visual problem solving is not about drawing nice pictures, but about thinking visually, using the power of your left-side brain to explore ideas in a non-linear, holistic way. So even if you think you can’t draw, you can definitely learn this.
In this workshop, we will start with the basics of how to draw. Then we will take a specific example problem and practice the 5 steps of visual problem solving one by one in team exercises.
At the end of the session, you will have experienced all steps of visual problem solving and have enough inspiration and courage to start these steps with your own team back home.
