Learn ways to select and implement the tools that work in your unique context
This workshop provides guidance on how to decide what tools you need for particular testing activities, how to evaluate and select them, and how to implement them successfully.
There are so many test tools available in today’s continuous testing world. Test automation, test case management, test data, test environments… it’s great, but it’s overwhelming! When you need a particular test tool, how do you know where to start looking, who are the right providers, what is the best approach to take? What’s better – open source, vendor tools, or “brewing your own”?
It’s like a giant game of Cluedo (aka Clue). What’s the right choice: Open Source Tool A with a scripting language through the UI level? Or Vendor Tool Z with a low code platform through the API level?
In this hands-on workshop, participants will engage in fun, small-group exercises to consider many of the facets of researching, selecting and implementing test tools. They’ll leave with tools and heuristics to create a strategy for finding the tools that fit each team’s unique context.
