Agile Testing Days is known for inviting and actively fostering a diversity of voices within our community. We believe that we are all necessary, and can all contribute, to make our communities and workplaces happy, vibrant and reflective of all the people who are part of them.
This is a working session, for people of all identities, to celebrate our successes and design for more inclusion for ourselves and others. Come to be inspired, to share what works, to ask for help, and to design ways to be more included and inclusive in the coming year.
The Women and Allies in Agile event is your event. What we’ll discuss is up to you - the evening is designed with a simple format so you can raise what’s important to you, and hear from each other. Bring your puzzles and wishes, your experiments and hopes, or simply come to meet like minds and soak up the atmosphere!
Here are some topics we’ve notice people discussing, which might prompt your own:
-
Tips for becoming a presenter or workshop leader
-
How do I handle being interrupted?
-
Interviewing and hiring for greater diversity
-
How to be an ally to under-represented groups
-
How can I start this conversation locally?
-
Where do we find resources?
You’ll walk away with new insights, confidence, connections, and, hopefully, an action item you’re excited about! You’ll leave knowing you have contributed to making our special software testing community a place you feel part of, and that you can shape going forward.
We are excited to meet with you here!
- Anne-Marie, Deb, Maaret, and Ash.
