Helmut Pichler: “Testing is my passion!” has been in the IT for more than 25 years. Helmut already specialized in Testing many, many years ago and is now working in customer projects as a consultant and manager for Software Test & Quality Management. In his spare time (you remember: “… passion…” ;-) ) he is president of the Austrian Testing Board .
Helmut has followed the Agile initiative since 2005 and established the first agile approaches in the System Development Standards of a large IT company. His focus is on practical, hands on experience in real life agile projects (his understanding for agile is here mainly flexible!).
Besides that he supports customer projects in establishing Testing as a real profession, also in Agile environments. Parallel to his project work Helmut develops also Agile workshops and training courses. Then I’ve moved to Moscow to famous outstuffing company Luxoft as senior java developer and scrum master in UBS& And now I’m working as agile engineering coach in ScrumTrek, Russia.
As an engineering coach I help team with learning and adopting XP practice, as TDD or test automation. In the other hand I’m trying to facilitate them to learn. Big part of my job is building Russian Software Craftsmanship Community bit.ly/codecrafting.

software testing engineer that founded QA Dnepr Community (dnepr.qacommunity.com.ua) – one of the biggest and most active communities of software testers in Ukraine. I’m also was the founder of ISTQB exam preparation courses – ISTQB.IN.UA – and gave lectures on test design there. Organizing and holding the first software testing conference in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine is also among my achievements as a community member.
Being agile tester I have specialization in test analysis and design domains and currently is actively developing programming skills in order to be more valuable in multifunctional agile teams.
